NeoCon, Chicago 2014 Review

Without question, NeoCon is the largest and most influential commercial furniture mar-ket in the United States and this year’s show was buzzing with excitement. 2014 saw a 20% increase in registration over last year, bringing total attendance to nearly 50,000.

Among all the temporary spaces at the market, the Schwinn booth stood out like well-polished chrome. While the vast majority of exhibitors went with the standard white walls provided by the market staff, Schwinn painted their walls a deep, warm gray, mak-ing the white 3D Schwinn logo pop from across the room and setting the stage for their product presentation.

A major focus of their space was furniture feet. The metallic finishes and forms showed well, mounted to blocks of beautiful Walnut and set out across the center of the space. Also a feature, the Quick Ship program of handles and pulls stood out on their 3-winged tower. Other product categories such as grommets, casters, hooks and panel holders were also on display. Many new handle designs, presented for the first time in North America, showcased Schwinn’s design leadership in the furniture hardware industry.

Very pleased with the turn out, enthusiasm and overwhelmingly positive response, Schwinn is eager to attend NeoCon 2015.
