Review Interzum 2015 Cologne

Information about interzum, Cologne as download

Schwinn’s presentation at this year’s interzum was noticeably different from past shows. Like never before it expressed Schwinn’s position as an innovative manufacturer across the value chain. Visitors to the booth recognized this and responded very positively.

Schwinn’s process of daily innovation starts with trend scouting and design monitoring on a global basis. The results of this continuous research are interpreted and translated into product concepts.

Light-Engineering is a high ranking category that is a result of this process. New and pioneering products like a wardrobe and handles with integrated LED lighting have been developed and on display at the Schwinn booth in a special “Black-Box” presentation that the Schwinn Design team developed for interzum.

Schwinn’s booth space at interzum was new and innovative. An open communication area, showcasing design-trends, gave room to the exchange of ideas and thoughts. Products displayed in a modular rack system invited visitors to directly interact and choose. Samples and product specific information were available for immediate pick up.

The decorative and functional furniture hardware products on display speak a design language that emphasizes clean lines as an expression of the zeitgeist. Economic use of material and sophisticated aesthetics, aged look and metallic finishes that are used to individualize mass produced furniture are the focus of this year’s interzum.

Schwinn, well known as an injection molding specialist, was also highlighting another core competency: Engineering. Schwinn masters the whole process from concept to mass produced finished product. Schwinn engineers develop tailored solutions for different industries like furniture, automotive, RV and advertising. At Interzum several custom developed parts as well as a specially prepped tool visualized this know.

Whatever your next challenge with Schwinn you will have a partner with the know-how, the capabilities and the enthusiasm to tackle it. We cover product development, tooling, manufacturing and finishing as well as supply chain management.
